Terms of use
These terms explain the public-beta service Reward Seat Scout provides and the checks you must make before booking.
Independent comparison service
Reward Seat Scout is an independent tool operated by Paul Carline. It is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Red. Virgin Atlantic remains responsible for its reward seats, points prices, taxes, fees, vouchers and bookings.
Always confirm before booking
Search results and alert totals are estimates based on calendar information available when the check runs. Availability, seat counts, Saver status, points prices, taxes and cash fees can change without notice. A recent result may be reused for a few minutes, or shown as a clearly labelled short-term fallback when Virgin’s live calendar does not respond. Always refresh and confirm the complete itinerary and final price on Virgin Atlantic’s official website before transferring points, arranging accommodation or making any purchase.
Points-price history
“NEW”, “PRICE DROPPED” and “LOWEST SEEN” compare Scout’s own observations for the exact same route, dates and cabins. They do not describe Virgin Atlantic’s complete historical pricing, promise that a price will remain available or guarantee that it is the best possible deal. Historical totals are re-estimated using your current traveller and voucher choices; always confirm the live total with Virgin.
Companion-voucher estimates
Voucher savings are planning estimates based on the traveller, cabin, status and voucher choices you enter. Eligibility and final voucher treatment depend on Virgin Atlantic’s current rules and your Flying Club account. Reward Seat Scout does not apply or reserve a voucher.
Alerts and availability
Alerts are a best-effort beta service. Checks or emails may be delayed or unavailable because of maintenance, provider outages, changing calendar data or email filtering. An alert is not a reservation and does not guarantee that seats will remain available when you open it.
Acceptable use
Use the service only for genuine personal trip planning. Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, access another person’s alerts, disrupt the service, automate excessive searches or copy and resell its data.
Public beta and changes
The service may change, pause or end during the public beta. These terms may be updated as the product develops; the date below will change when that happens. For questions, email privacy@rewardseatscout.co.uk.
